The book at first seemed to me a thriller with a backdrop of financial mumbo jumbo, frankly I kept it aside for a day or two…but then when Lisbeth Salander and Mikael Blomkvist enter the arena it is a roller coaster ride, every twist and turn in the plot took my breath away, the characterization of Salander and Blomkvist is deliciously complex and intriguing. It is foolhardy to judge their relationships and their sexual escapades. Henrik Vanger’s torment at failing to trace his niece Harriet and his determination to unlock the truth by enagaging Blomkvist adds to the gripping plot. The ensuing murderous attempts at Blomkvist’s life strengthens the belief of the reader and Blomkvist that someone in the Vanger family wants the past to be left undisturbed and would leave no stone unturned to maintain the dreadful secret.

Fabulous creation – Stieg You kept me hooked to the plot till the last page.
